CEDRA is heading to Kafanchan High Court to challenge wicked and sadistic closure of high schools in Kafanchan and environ by Governor Nasir Ahmed Elrufa'i of Kaduna State. We are filing our papers tomorrow. We are basing our case on human rights as expressly enshrined in African Union charter on peoples rights and ECOWAS protocol. The two documents made education a human right that people must enjoy Willy nilly. Our determination to hold power accountable and expansion of democratic space in Nigeria and Kaduna State is on the move. Santa la victoria siempre. Dr. John Danfulani Chairman 16/5/2019

SOUTHERN KADUNA PEOPLES' UNION PRESS STATEMENT 30/03/2017 The Double Standard in the Continued Closure of the Kafanchan Campus of KASU. The Kafanchan Campus of the Kaduna State University (KASU) was closed on the 19th of December, 2016 and since then it has remained closed and the students of that campus left to idle away unnecessarily. While they are made redundant, their colleagues in the Kaduna Campus of the same institution have been hitherto attending their classes and by implication attaining a comparative advantage. SOKAPU has consistently called for the reopening of the Kafanchan campus but Governor Nasir El-rufai has deliberately refused to heed to our call or those of other well-meaning Nigerians. The shallow and worn-out excuse being used is still ‘insecurity’ even though
