Four people have been reported killed in Galwyi Village in Chikun LGA of Kaduna State when gunmen suspected to be Fulani Herdsmen carry out an attack on Sunday.
Elanza News reports that there have been series of attacks over the weekend in the rural areas within Kaduna state.
Over 20 people were killed on Saturday in Godogo area of Jema’a LGA prompting declaration of a 24hours dusk to dawn curfew.
As at 22:00 hours of yesterday Sunday,16th of Oct 2016, another attack was lunched in Galwyi Village in Gwagwada Development Area of Chikun Local government area Kaduna state.
The attack on the village led to the killing of four persons including the Youth Leader of the village (Sarkin Masari).
Elanza News gathered that it took the brevity and quick response of some armed vigilante group to repel the attack and successfully chased the attackers out of the communities.
“We want to call on the state government and the Interim Management Chairperson of Chikun Local government who has being insensitive to the plight of the people to wakeup from their slumber,” a resident told said.
“They should collaborate and send all relevant security agencies to this villages that are been attacked, this has been an unending recurrent issue which need to be tackled immediately,” he added.
