A 70 year- old man has been shot dead, on his farm, located at Gwadai in Bokana District, Sanga LGA of Kaduna State, North West Nigeria.
Mr Ishaku Ogah Antoma, who held from Fadan Karshi, was gunned down immediately after he left the farm on his motorcycle.
Residents told Elanza News that the septuagenarian was found in his pool of blood dead.
“We don’t actually know what is really happening but war is been waged against our people without justification,” a resident who witnessed the incident, Luka Maza said.
Elanza News reports that the killing of the 70 year old grand father in his farm brought the total number of people reportedly killed recently in Southern Kaduna to five.
Findings revealed that after the killing of a woman in Ikulu Chiefdom, three others were also reported killed in Ayagan, Bajju Chiefdom of the same Zangon Kataf LGA.
The killing of the septuagenarian coupled with other killings in recent times without a statement from government officials or security agents, according to a resident, is alarming.
“Just today, Monday, a 70 year- old Ishaku Ogah Antoma was killed in his farm. He was shot dead. What is happening these days is alarming. We are calling on government to put more measures that will stem this killings,” Mike Sanga said.
Even though the Interim Management Committee Chairman of Sanga LGA could not be reached as at the time of filling this report, a staff of the Local government has confirmed the incident to Elanza News.
