Two people have been killed by gunmen suspected to be Fulani Herdsmen in Sanga LGA, Southern part of Kaduna State.
This is coming just few days after Kaduna State Government held a security council meeting in Kafanchan, a region that have experienced over 3000 dead in the last three years.
Experts say government has not shown serious commitment to ending the over three years killings in the Southern part of Kaduna State.
According to residents, the latest killing happen on Sunday leaving two men dead and a girl currently undergoing surgery following bullet wounds.
The attack which took place at Ningon community, 6km away from the local government headquarters, according to a resident, happened at about 8:45pm Sunday night, where Mr. Gambo Sule (Aged 38 yrs), married to one wife with 5 children and Mr. Benjamin Auta (Aged 35 yrs), also married and with 2 children were killed.
According to the President of the community development association, the entire community view the unabated killings as ethnic cleansing.
Speaking on the ugly incident to. Elanza News, Mr. Nuhu Tukura, the President of Ningon Community Development Association (NCDA) said, “We are seriously troubled by all these happenings.”
“Now we don’t even know what we can do to have rest. Our farms we cannot go and our houses we cannot live in. What else shall we do?”
According to the community leader, “We called the police immediately the incident occurred around 8:45pm last Sunday but they could not come until around 7:30am this Monday morning.”
The community leader who said the community is conducting a burial for the people killed added that the family can’t afford to keep the corpses for long.
“We are doing the burial of the two deceased today (Monday) as the immediate family members said they cannot afford the bill of depositing the corpses at the morgue as a result of the present hard times.”
“We appealed to government to please do all within her powers to ensure the security of our lives and properties,” he said.
It will be recalled that the state governor had gone to Sanga LGA on a condolence visit last Tuesday following an attack at Ungwar Mada on Sunday night – 14 August which left one Man and his wife all dead.
